FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes Skate Night

On Friday, February 29 at the Ark's Family Life Center, the FCA will be holding a Skate Night. This event will start at 7:00 p.m. with a concert by "Servant's Heart" and Jessica McLean. Webb Tyndall - Former NCU Basketball Player will be speaking. This session last to 9:00 P.M. and is free to adults and students.

At 9:00 p.m. the gym will be open for Skating and another concet by Servant's Heart. Their will be a concession stand open for snacks. Their will be a cover of $5.00 for this time. We will be having 2 serves in P.A. along with 2 day's of Snowboarding/Skiing. The cost is $180.00 and they will need $120.00 for food. We only have two spots left!

Despite a few non-serious injuries and some just to the pride, (Some pretty funny to watch. I.E. the girl being lauch backwards by a the bush she ran into). we had a great time.

The next skate night is January 5, 2007. Starts at 7:00 and ends at 9:00.

There's snack like nachos, pretzels, popcorn and more. We have juices, sodas, and bottled water too. Cost is only $5.00 for skates or bring your own. PLEASE NO STREET SKATES.

21 Days of Fasting

This year we will observe a variation of the “Daniel Fast.” The Daniel Fast is a partial fast where we restrict our food intake, but do not totally abstain as in an absolute fast (no food or water) or a normal fast (without food, drinking water only). We have record of the Daniel Fast in Daniel 1:8a,

“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine he drank….”, also verse 12…. “Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse (vegetables) to eat, and water to drink.” And in Daniel 10:2-3, “In those days I, Daniel was mourning three full weeks. I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled

There will be skating at the ARK’s Family Life Center. It will be open from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. A $5.00 donation to the ARK Student Ministries is collected at the door. Skates will be provided but you are allowed to bring yours.

However, no in-line skates are allowed.

The snack bar will sell drinks, nachos, pretzel, and hotdogs.

This event is for all ages. This is a great place to hang out with family and friends!
